Yeh Guilted by my bloody wife. She put on such a performance if I did not feel like going and wanted to stay home that I'd finish up going just to keep the peace.

As a JW Did you Feel " Guilted " to go to Meetings /Service if Injured /Sick ?
by flipper inmany people in the jehovah's witnesses , older ones, younger ones have been expected to pioneer, go in field service with physical disabilities and are even considered "martyrs" if they push themselves to their physical capacities beyond reasonableness .
thus many witnesses feel sick, exhausted, tired, and essentially fight depression due to high expectations to " burn out " for the wt society.
have any of you experienced this while in the witnesses ?.

You talk as though prayer is a tool to fix a problem that it has power and if it doesn't work and you don't get what you want then it's useless. Personally I like talking to God. I met one in the field service encouraged her to come to meetings which she did ... the elders were pissed off when I did this...that she didn't come of her own initiative ...apparently she was supposed to crawl back ...needless to say she only attended 3 meetings after the loving Shepard's (puke) got involved ...so much for the parable of leaving the 99 to find the lost sheep. No I didn't shun even had one around for dinner with my family to encourage him. Horrors I ate with a condemned sinner. Now where did I get such a notion?
